This post is part of a series, adapted from emails sent to owners of outdoor centres across the UK who kindly provided advice and input as Swellbase was developed.
April/May so far has been a whirlwind with 13 outdoor centres / operators now live on Swellbase, enjoying less admin and using a tool purpose-built for their day-to-day operations.
We've had companies switch from FareHarbor, Eola, Checkfront, Bloowatch, and Beyonk so far. Feedback has been "a breath of fresh air" across the board.
It was always going to be a big challenge to get companies live before the start of the busy season - Iβm incredibly grateful for the trust & support of all of you that have helped with the research process and have now made the switch π€

-
πΒ Waivers Per ParticipantΒ - finally here! The booker one click shares the waiver with the members of their group.
No more faffing with Google Forms and trying to figure out what's signed for a booking.
Let the lead booker take over the role of 'signature chaser upper' and see the signatures / info automatically linked up to bookings in your dashboard.
-
π²Β Staff Assignment Confirmations -Β at Blue Coast, I would always follow up an assignment with a WhatsApp message to confirm.
This was annoying but I needed the confirmation that yes this team member could do the session.
Now I see team availability in one place, drag and drop to assign, and receive an instant notification whenever an assignment is confirmed / rejected.

π΅Β Equipment Hire Variants -Β have variants of hire products?
You can now configure variants per hire product (bike sizes for example), and have this automatically keep your availability up to date with your inventory.
The customer hire booking flow is now π (everything you need - variants, suggested products, checkout fields). Swellbase doesn't treat hires as an 'activity'.
-
πΒ Group DiscountsΒ - you can now offer discounts depending on the number of participants a customer is booking.
You can limit this by ticket (i.e exclude Family tickets from the discount), and the customer sees prompts to add tickets to reach the discount. Result: you increase your value per order.
We already had multi-session discounts, but now the incentives in the public booking flow are best-in-class.
