About Stevie
Stevie is the co-founder and a director of Ocean Vertical, a B Corp certified adventure company in Dunbar on Scotland’s south-east coast, just 40 minutes from Edinburgh. Founded in 2018 after 20 years in the industry, Ocean Vertical has a broad spectrum of activities and products. These include coasteering, paddleboarding, surfing, climbing, and summer and winter mountaineering alongside international trips — Ocean Vertical is a year-round business.
As well as delivering high quality, face to face adventure experiences for Ocean Vertical clients, Stevie is a trainer and assessor, including as an ASI SUP Instructor Trainer, National Coasteering Charter Trainer Assessor and First Aid training provider. He also offers advice, training and development to outdoor companies and local authority outdoor provision across Scotland and Northern England.
Stevie’s career spans three decades and includes experience across corporate delivery, large residential centres, charity-based adventure education, therapeutic work, start ups and commercial outdoor provision. He has held an AALA licence for over 25 years and has extensive experience leading and supporting overseas expeditions.
